Fashionistas gathered at The Banqueting House in the prestigious Whitehall on Thursday as best friends Agyness Deyn and Henry Holland joined forces to host the NSPCC’s Pop Art Ball.
Chaired by Stella McCartney and Natalia Vodianova, guests including Dinos Chapman, Sharleen Spiteri, Roland Mouret and Jade Parfitt enjoyed the evening as The Ting Tings and Birdy performed whilst pieces donated by high-profile artists and designers went up for auction using the innovative Bidtech iPad system.
The NSPCC raised £1.1m from the star-studded event, with auction items including a dinner with Tracey Ermin & Mark Hix and limited edition Christian Louboutin heels. The main auction included artworks, diamond jewellery and designer courture.
Andrew Flanagan, chief executive of the NSPCC, said he was delighted with the fundraising total, which will go towards the charity’s Rebuilding Childhoods Appeal which funds post-abuse therapy children.
